Quinn sighed audibly, leaning heavily against his shoulder. She didn't really want to hear that from him. She already knew that he was going to tell her she was wrong, because even she knew that she was not supposed to be disobeying a direct order. She shouldn't have, but she did, because she felt like she was surrounded by people who didn't feel the importance of it.
"I couldn't let her continue to be trapped in a dark room, alone just waiting for her abuser to return. She didn't know what was going to happen to her. I couldn't..." leave her. She couldn't leave her there because what if something horrible happened. What if it was worse than death? It already had been.
"This is why they're afraid I'm going to be a liability," she murmured.
